Every one of our six venues takes private bookings, from a small party to exclusive use of the whole building. That increasingly means conferences and teams staying over, alongside the celebrations.

    Weddings, celebrations and exclusive use

    South Western House has held weddings since 1872 and holds its own licence, so the ceremony and the reception can both happen in the same room. The ballroom seats 200, and private parties of 150 guests or more get exclusive use of the building.

    Waterfront tables and terraces

    Both marinas take group bookings on the water. Ocean Village’s terrace faces south-west for the afternoon sun, and Port Hamble’s stays open right through the year under a retractable-roof pergola built with Mermaid Gin.

    Private dining

    An Italian kitchen on Town Quay Road, opposite the Red Funnel terminal, with ten boutique rooms on the floor above for anyone who wants to stay the night after.

    Exclusive hire

    A cocktail lounge below the Grand Café inside South Western House, open for private hire and for the late half of a night that started somewhere else in the building.

    Conferences and meetings

    South Western House sits five minutes from Southampton Central, with wifi, AV and a kitchen already in the building. Rooms run from twenty guests up to full exclusive use, and corporate events of 150 guests or more get that exclusive use at no extra hire fee.

    Breakfast meetings

    Breakfast is served from nine every morning at both Ocean Village and Port Hamble, so an early meeting can happen on the water before the working day starts anywhere else.

    Rooms for overnight guests

    Ten boutique rooms sit above the restaurant on Town Quay Road, a short walk from the city centre, for anyone travelling in for a conference or a meeting elsewhere in the group.

One enquiry can cover more than one venue. A conference in The Grand’s ballroom, rooms for the team at Ennios and breakfast on Banana Wharf’s terrace the next morning can all be arranged together, through a single point of contact.
